Reyna was seriously injured and was transported to Doctors Hospital, where he later died

Edinburg, TX. – One person was killed in a car crash on Saturday afternoon in Edinburg.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 3:59 p.m. on FM 2812 near Brushline Road.
A 2006 Toyota Tundra, occupied by a driver and a passenger, was traveling eastbound on FM 2812 when it veered off the roadway and struck a concrete fence and a light pole.
The passenger, Jose A. Reyna, 65, a resident of Hargill, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Reyna was seriously injured and was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. Sadly, he died while receiving treatment.
The male driver was also transported to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
