College Station, TX – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday evening after being involved in a collision with an intoxicated driver in College Station, according to the police.
The accident happened on November 12 at the intersection of William D. Fitch Parkway and Victoria Avenue.
Police said Brittain Rausch, 32, of Anderson, was driving a truck when he ran a red light and rear-ended a motorcycle, pushing it into another vehicle.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Rausch told officers that he had consumed multiple beers before the accident. A firearm was also found in his vehicle. He has been charged with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was being held at the Brazos County Jail on a $14,000 bond.
The police are investigating the accident.
