El Paso, TX – An Ecuador woman was killed last Sunday in a pedestrian accident in El Paso, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on August 17 on Cesar E. Chavez Border Highway near the Bridge of the Americas.
Authorities said a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent saw a man near the Rio Grande before he fled into tall grass. Minutes later, the agent saw a woman climb a fence. The woman then ran across the highway and was struck by a car. She was also run over by another car.
The woman died in the accident. Her name has not been released.
No other information was provided.
The El Paso Police Department is investigating the accident.
