The deadly collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on January 15 at the intersection of SE Loop 338 and Southfork Avenue.

Ector County, TX – One person was killed, and another was injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle collision in Ector County, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on January 15 at the intersection of SE Loop 338 and Southfork Avenue.
DPS said a Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on SE Loop 338 and was slowing to turn onto Southfork Avenue when it was rear-ended by an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado.
The Toyota did not have the required rear lights at the time of the accident.
The Toyota driver, 52-year-old Yaiset Almeida Ceregido of Odessa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Silverado driver suffered minor injuries in the accident.
No other details were provided.
The collision remains under investigation.
