20-year-old Hailey Sprangler was seriously injured and taken to the hospital

Lubbock, TX. – 19-year-old Zack Rankin was killed in a collision on Sunday night in Lubbock.
According to Texas DPS, the accident happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of CR 242 and US 385.
19-year-old Zack Rankin was driving a car on CR 242 when he was hit by a pickup truck traveling through the intersection.
Rankin was transported to UMC where he later died while receiving treatment.
Rankin’s passenger, 20-year-old Hailey Sprangler, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries.
More details about the accident were released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
