One person was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, where he died while receiving treatment

Austin, TX. – One person was killed in a collision that left four others injured on Tuesday afternoon in Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the fatal crash happened on State Highway 71 eastbound at Presidential Boulevard just after 1 p.m.
An Austin Fire Department vehicle is reported to have collided with another vehicle in unclear circumstances.
One person was transported by Austin-Travis County EMS medics to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, where he died while receiving treatment.
Another person was also transported to the same hospital with serious injuries, and three others to Dell Seton Medical Center with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
