Austin, TX – A moped rider is dead following a traffic collision involving a car and a moped on Pleasant Valley Road in downtown Austin, according to ATCEMS.
The deadly collision happened at about 6:10 p.m. on April 15 on I-79 N. Pleasant Valley Road Bridge over Lady Bird Lake.
Authorities said the moped rider was found pinned underneath the vehicle and was unconscious.
ATCEMS medics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released pending next of kin notification.
I-79 Pleasant Valley Road was shut down in both directions between Canterbury Street and S. Lakeshore Boulevard for several hours.
