One person killed and another injured in collision on US 285 near mile marker 350 in Reeves County

Reeves County, TX. – One person was killed in a collision on Sunday morning in Reeves County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on US 285 near mile marker 350 at around 9:45 a.m.
A semi-truck was traveling northbound on US 285 when it suffered a tire blowout causing it to drift into the southbound lanes and collide head-on with another Freightliner semi traveling southbound on US 285.
The northbound semi-truck continued and sideswiped a Kenworth semi traveling southbound on US 285 behind the Freightliner.
The driver of the northbound semi was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver for the Freightliner had minor injuries.
The driver for the Kenworth was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
