The 33-year-old female driver of the Mitsubishi and her 9-year-old son were killed in the accident

Houston, TX. – Two people were killed in a wrong-way collision early Monday morning in downtown Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened around 12:45 a.m. on the North Freeway near the Dallas and Preston exit.
A red Ford F-150 was traveling the wrong way when it struck a Mitsubishi Outlander, which then collided with a Nissan Rogue.
The 33-year-old female driver of the Mitsubishi and her 9-year-old son were killed in the accident.
The father, seated in the front passenger seat, and a 10-year-old child in the car were taken to hospital in critical condition.
The 44-year-old male driver of the Ford F-150 underwent surgery at Ben Taub Hospital and remains in the ICU in critical condition.
The pregnant woman driving the Nissan Rogue was transported to the hospital. The male passenger of the Nissan Rogue suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
