One person suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to the hospital for treatment

Travis County, TX. – Five people were injured, one critically, in a car accident that happened on Monday afternoon near Garfield in Travis County.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the accident happened around 12:25 p.m. on the 5200 block of East SH 71 West near Richards Drive.
The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately determined.
One person suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
Four others suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
