The front male passenger of the Kia was transported to the hospital, where he died while receiving treatment

Houston, TX. – One person was killed in a car accident on Thursday morning in Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened around 5:45 a.m. at 5900 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59).
A white Ford Expedition traveling southbound on the freeway after experiencing a flat tire and was rear-ended by a black Kia Sportage.
A silver BMW 5 Series then hit the Kia.
Three occupants of the Kia, one passenger in the Ford, and the driver of the BMW were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
The front male passenger of the Kia died while receiving treatment.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
