Jasper, TX. – Two people were critically injured in a high-speed collision on Saturday morning in Jasper.
According to the police, the accident happened on Highway 96 near the intersection with Farm to Market Road 1007.
A Chrysler sedan was traveling southbound when it crossed the centerline and collided with a small two-door car heading north.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the west side of the road and struck a tree.
The drivers, a man and a woman, were injured and were transported to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
