Beaumont, TX – Three people, including two teenage girls, were injured following a collision between a pickup truck and a semi-truck tanker Tuesday morning in Beaumont, according to a police report.

Texas DPS said a Chevrolet pickup, operated by a 16-year-old girl, failed to yield to an eastbound Peterbilt truck tractor semi-trailer tanker, driven by a 31-year-old Beaumont man, at a stop sign on Labelle Road.
The tanker struck the pickup on its left side after the pickup pulled into the semi’s path.
The driver of the pickup and her 13-year-old passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and were both transported by ambulance to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, according to the DPS.
The 18-wheeler driver was also transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional details have been provided. The accident remains under investigation.
