San Angelo, TX – Three people were injured following a three-vehicle collision at an intersection in San Angelo on Monday caused three people to leave the scene in an ambulance.

The crash occurred at about 12:00 at the intersection of Sherwood Way and Sunset Drive.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, a blue Chevy Cavalier was traveling westbound on Sherwood Way when it failed to yield the right of way and collided with a white Buick Encore.

The impact caused the Chevy to hit a traffic light. The Buick slammed into a blue Ford Escape that was stopped at the intersection.

Emergency crews respeonded to the scene and used the jaws of life, to extricate the occupants of one of the vehicles.

The driver of the Biuck and the driver of the Chevy  were hospitalized. The passenger of the Chevy was also transported to the hospital.

No additional information regarding the collision was provided.
