Lubbock, TX – Three people were injured in two separate but related traffic collisions at a Lubbock intersection on Wednesday evening, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
The incidents happened at W. Loop 289 and 34th Street just before 5:30 p.m. on January 29.
According to LPD, officers responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to UMC for treatment.
As the traffic backed up due to the initial collision, another wreck happened.
One person sustained moderate injuries while another had minor injuries following the incident. Both patients were also transported to UMC.
The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available.
