Fort Worth, TX – Five people, among them 2 children, are dead following a fiery traffic collision in Fort Worth early Monday morning, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

The fatal incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 35W near Seminary Drive exit.

According to Fort Worth police, the driver of a black Camaro was traveling northbound on Interstate 35W at a high rate of speed when they rear-ended a sedan near the Seminary Drive exit.

3 Adults, 2 Children Killed, One Person Seriously Injured in Fiery Fort Worth Accident

The impact caused the sedan to burst into flames and five people inside the vehicle – three adults and two children – were killed.

The names of the victims have been withheld pending notification to the family.

The driver of the Camaro sustained serious injuries in the incident and was hospitalized. The driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

No additional details regarding the incident were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
