Two teenagers and three young children were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries

Corpus Christi, TX. – Multiple people were hospitalized after being injured in a collision on Sunday afternoon in Corpus Christi.
According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, the accident happened around 12:15 p.m. in the 3700 block of South Padre Island Drive near Weber Road
According to a preliminary investigation, a vehicle had stalled on the on-ramp from Weber Road and two adult females exited the vehicle.
A passenger car driven by a 28-year-old male entered the westbound ramp near Weber Road and struck the stalled vehicle, causing it to hit the two women.
Both women were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Two teenagers and three young children were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
