Rhome, TX – One person was killed and another was injured after two vehicles collided on US-287 on Wednesday night, according to a press release by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Preliminary investigation revealed that Allison Beamon, 52, of Bridgeport, was driving a vehicle southbound on 287 when the vehicle veered off the roadway, crossed the median, and struck another vehicle operated by Timothy Wallace, 55, of Decatur, DPS said.
Beamon was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Wallace was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Medical City Decatur, as per the DPS.
The incident remains under investigation.
