The deadly accident happened at about 6:22 p.m. on September 28, at the intersection of Great Hills Trail and North Capital of Texas Highway, and involved an SUV and a hatchback sedan.

Austin, TX – One person was killed and two others were injured after two vehicles collided at an intersection in Austin on Saturday evening, according to Austin Police Department (APD).
The deadly accident happened at about 6:22 p.m. on September 28, at the intersection of Great Hills Trail and North Capital of Texas Highway, and involved an SUV and a hatchback sedan.
According to APD, the SUV was traveling southbound on Great Hills Trail when it ran the red light at the intersection. The sedan, traveling westbound on N Capital of Texas Highway, entered the intersection on a green light, and collided with the SUV.
A passenger of the SUV, identified as Esther Saylee, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Two additional passengers from the SUV were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The other involved individuals remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation.
