Acker was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado when he collided with a northbound 2010 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer

Channing, TX. – 34-year-old George Acker, of Dalhart, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon near Channing in Oldham County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 12:55 p.m. on U.S. Highway 385.
Acker was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado when he reportedly failed to yield the right of way and entered the path of a northbound 2010 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer. The two vehicles collided.
Acker was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Freightliner, a 53-year-old from Vega, was not injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
