Joshua Babb ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Capital Metro Bus in Austin

Authorities say Joshua Babb was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a Capital Metro bus in the 100 block of East Koenig Lane at about 7:40 a.m. on  September 24, 2024.

Austin, TX – The Austin Police Department has identified the person who died after a motorcycle collided with a Capital Metro bus on East Koenig Lane in Austin as 33-year-old  Joshua Lee-Michael Babb.

Authorities say Babb was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a Capital Metro bus in the 100 block of East Koenig Lane at about 7:40 a.m. on  September 24, 2024.

Babb was pronounced dead at the scene.

Austin, TX – The Austin police department is investigating a deadly auto versus motorcycle accident at an intersection in Austin on Tuesday morning.

According to a social media post by ATCEMS, the deadly accident happened at about 7:40 a.m. in the area of Avenue F and E Koenig Lane.

Reports indicate that the deadly incident involved a motorcycle and a CapMetro bus.

ATCEMS medics responded to the scene and pronounced one adult person dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released.

One other person was transported to Seton Medical Center with minor injuries.
