College Station, TX – The College Station Police Department has identified the elderly woman who was killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in College Station Thursday afternoon as 80-year-old Margie Berry Smith from Bryan.

Margie Smith was a passenger in a sedan operated by her husband that collided with a pickup truck at Southwest Parkway and Texas Avenue at about 2:15 p.m. on November 14.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband remains hospitalized. The couple’s dog was found dead in the vehicle.

The driver of the pickup truck and a passenger were treated for minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.

College Station, TX – An elderly woman and her dog were killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision in College Station Thursday afternoon, according to the College Station Police Department.

According to College Station PD, the deadly accident happened at about 2:15 p.m. on November 14 at Southwest Parkway and Texas Avenue.

The police responded to the scene and located two vehicles involved in the collision. The vehicles were described as a sedan and a pickup truck.

A female passenger of the sedan and a dog were declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the sedan was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The driver of the pickup and their passenger were treated for minor injuries, according to College Station PD.

All northbound traffic was diverted east on Southwest Parkway. All Westbound traffic on Southwest Parkway was diverted northbound on Texas Avenue.

The roadway has since been reopened

The accident remains under investigation.
