Two people killed in collision on FM 481 in Maverick County

Maverick County, TX. – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Maverick County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on FM 481, two miles north of US 57.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision. However, the events leading up to the accident were not immediately determined.
62-year-old Michael Charles Elkins, of Hondo, was driving a Chevrolet Blazer and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of a different Chevrolet Blazer died at the hospital.
One person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
