The deadly collision happened just before 5 p.m. on March 21 in the area of Highway 380 and Lovers Lane, according to Prosper Police.

Prosper, TX – The authorities are investigating a two-vehicle accident that claimed the life of 41-year-old Raquel Torres-Sawyer, a Little Elm ISD school nurse, at a Prosper Intersection last Friday evening
The deadly collision happened just before 5 p.m. on March 21 in the area of Highway 380 and Lovers Lane, according to Prosper Police.
A preliminary investigation revealed that an SUV was trying to make a left turn when a speeding black truck ran through the red light and slammed into the SUV.
The driver of the SUV, identified as Raquel Torres-Sawyer, 41, was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
The driver of the truck, identified as 25-year-old Austin Bruckner, of Denton, was taken to a hospital for serious injuries.
Authorities say Bruckner was charged with intoxication manslaughter and booked into the Collin County Jail.
Reports indicate that Bruckner had in arrested back in 2021 for driving while intoxicated in Dallas and was sentenced to one year of community service.
