Fannin County, TX.- Three people were injured in a head-on collision that occurred near Leonard in Fannin County on Monday afternoon, the Leonard Fire Department said.
The accident occurred in the 1200 block of FM 272, just before 1 p.m. on November 11.
According to the report, a car was traveling eastbound on FM 272 when it collided head-on with a westbound vehicle near a curve.
Three parties, a man and two women, were flown to hospitals for treatment of their injuries. One of the victims had life-threatening injuries while the other two had non-life-threatening injuries.
The patients had to be extricated from the vehicles by firefighters.
The roadway was blocked for nearly two hours as authorities investigated and cleared the scene. An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
