Coryell County, TX – A man was killed in a crash with a tractor in Coryell County last week on Thursday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck took place in the 7800 block of Highway 84 at about 2:44 p.m. on February 27.
According to the report, William Joseph Thomas of Gatesville was driving a 2016 RAM 3500 truck westbound on Highway 84 when he passed another car and suddenly drifted off the left side of the roadway.
The truck slammed into a tractor and farming equipment in a field.
Thomas was not wearing a seatbelt and was rushed to Coryell Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
No further details were released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
