Uriel Primitivo Vazquez was transported to Reeves Regional Hospital with minor injuries

Reeves County, TX. – 26-year-old Adam Joe Ferguson of Canute, Oklahoma, was killed in a collision in Reeves County on Sunday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on US 285 near mile marker 350 at around 9:45 a.m.
Ferguson was driving a Kenworth semi-truck northbound on US 285 when he suffered a tire blowout causing the truck to drift into the southbound lanes and collide head-on with Freightliner driven by 41-year-old Uriel Primitivo Vazquez of Odessa.
The Kenworth semi-truck continued and sideswiped a southbound Kenworth semi operated by 29-year-old Gustavo Otero-Valladares of Chihuahua, Mexico.
Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Vazquez was transported to Reeves Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
Otero-Valladares was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
