Weslaco, TX. – Brianna Marie Chavez, 25, was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck near Weslaco on Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 7:07 a.m. on Military Road 281 at FM 491.
A red Kenworth truck tractor occupied by the driver was traveling westbound on Military Road 281 when it collided with a red Mazda 3 that was traveling southbound on FM 491.
Marie Chavez, a resident of Harlingen, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
