Beaumont, TX – The elderly woman who was killed in a suspected DUI traffic collision in Beaumont late Saturday night has been identified by her family as 78-year-old Charlotte Nicholas.
Nicholas was critically injured in a two-vehicle collision at 11:58 p.m. on January 8 in the 3500 block of Major Drive near Claybourn Drive.
She was transported to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Beaumont, TX – A woman was killed in a collision that led to the arrest of another driver on DUI charges on Saturday night in Beaumont, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
The incident took place in the 3500 block of Major Drive on Saturday, February 8.
According to police, an elderly woman was driving in the area when she collided with a vehicle driven by Ky Walker, 28, of Nederland.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Walker was arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter following the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
