The driver of the Dodge truck was evaluated at the scene and released

Temple, TX. – 30-year-old Emily Grace Meyer has been identified as the person who died in a car accident on Thursday evening in Temple.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Highway 36 at the Belton Lake long bridge.
Meyer was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu when she lost control, drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Meyer was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Dodge truck, a 62-year-old man from Hamilton, was evaluated at the scene and released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
