Harris County, TX  – The authorities have identified the man who was killed in an early Saturday traffic collision caused by a wrong-way driver on Hardy Toll Road as Florencio Ramirez.

The deadly collision happened at about 5:16 a.m. on March 8 on Hardy Toll Road near the Sam Houston Tollway.

Harris County Precinct 4’s Constable’s Office said 26-year-old Jasmine Arteaga was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the Hardy Toll Road when she struck an oncoming vehicle operated by Florencio Ramirez.

Ramirez was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Authorities said Arteago was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. A blood test determined she was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Police said her bond was set at $250,000.

Harris County, TX – One person was killed in a collision involving a wrong-way driver early Saturday morning in Harris County.

According to the police, the accident happened on Hardy Toll Road near the Sam Houston Tollway at around 5:16 a.m.

A 26-year-old woman was driving a vehicle the wrong way when she collided with a second vehicle.

Both drivers were taken to an area hospital, where the second driver later died.

The woman was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The collision resulted in the closure of the main lanes of Hardy Toll Road as the scene was cleared.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
