First responders had to remove the top of the vehicle to extricate the driver

San Antonio, TX. – A man was seriously injured after crashing into the back of a bus on Tuesday morning in San Antonio’s Northeast Side.
According to the police, the collision happened around 7 a.m. along North New Braunfels Avenue and Austin Highway.
The man was driving a car when he rear-ended a VIA bus in unclear circumstances.
First responders had to remove the top of the vehicle to extricate the driver.
The driver was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
