Austin, TX. – A police officer was injured in a collision that happened on Monday night in north Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the accident happened around 10 p.m. on North Lamar Boulevard near Thurmond Street.
An officer’s patrol vehicle and two other cars were involved in the collision.
The officer was transported to a local hospital where he will undergo surgery.
One of the other drivers was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
