Corpus Christi, TX. – A 43-year-old Taft man was killed in a collision that happened early Monday morning in Corpus Christi.
According to the police, the accident happened around 8:31 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 1258 and County Road 77.
A 2015 Peterbilt tractor-trailer was traveling north on County Road 77 when it failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and hit the driver’s side of a 2015 GMC Sierra.
Oscar Gonzalez was driving the Sierra and was pronounced dead at the scene.
33-year-old Anthony Luna, of Odem, was driving the truck and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
