Roy Hale Dies after Head-On Collision on FM 51 near CR 2730 in Wise County
Wise County, TX. - 73-year-old Roy Hale died while receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a head-on collision on Friday night in Wise County.
The fatal collision happened on FM 51 near CR 2730 at around 11:45 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A Kia Seltos driven by a 32-year-old was traveling northbound in the southbound lane when it collided head-on with a Ram pickup truck driven by a 25-year-old.
Roy Hale was riding in the pickup truck and was transported to Medical City Decatur where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of Kia was airlifted to Medical City Denton with critical injuries, while the driver of the Ram sustained serious injuries and was taken to Medical City Decatur.
Two passengers of the Ram, including a child, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
More details on the collision were not released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
