Stephanie Kirk ID’d as Woman Killed in Jefferson County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 69 near Jefferson County Jail

Jefferson County, Texas (November 16, 2019) – The woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Thursday evening near the Jefferson County Jail has been identified as Stephanie Kirk,34, of Bridge City, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 7:00 p.m. November 14, on Highway 69 southbound near FM 3514.

DPS said Kirk was driving a Nissan pickup truck southbound on the highway when she ran out of gas in the right lane of the highway.

Kirk exited the vehicle and attempted to flag down motorists. As she stood in the roadway, she was hit by a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Kirk was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger in the Nissan was uninjured.

The Ford driver, a 27-year-old Orange County man, was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
