Tayler Ross had exited a vehicle along I-45 to check on accident victims when she was hit and killed by another vehicle.

Houston, TX – The authorities have identified one of the two women who died following a traffic collision at 6001 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate 45) in Houston early Saturday morning.
The Houston Police Department identified the female pedestrian as Tayler Ross, 31. The female driver who was killed in the incident has not been identified.

HPD said a female driver of a black Ford Focus was heading southbound on I-45 when she was struck from behind by a vehicle that left the scene. Ford Focus became disabled across two lanes of traffic.
The driver of a black Ford Explorer, also heading southbound, pulled over onto the shoulder and a female passenger, later identified as Tayler Ross, exited the vehicle to check on the persons in the Ford Focus.
A male driver of a blue Mitsubishi Mirage going southbound swerved to avoid hitting the disabled vehicle but struck the Ford Focus and Ross.
Ross and the female driver of the Ford Focus were pronounced dead at the scene by the Houston Fire Department paramedics.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at an area hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.

Houston, TX – Two women died in a car accident in Houston early Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 1:20 a.m. at I-45 Gulf Freeway and Griggs, according to the police.
Two vehicles reportedly crashed on the freeway, with a woman’s car coming to rest facing the wrong direction.
Two women in a Ford Explorer stopped to help the woman and the female passenger got out of the SUV.
Another vehicle tried to avoid the scene but crashed into the car and hit the female passenger of the Ford Explorer.
Both women were killed in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
