1 Injured after SUV Rear-Ends Fuel Tanker on University Boulevard in Tyler

One Person Injured in Tyler Crash on University Boulevard

Tyler, Texas (May 4, 2022) – One person was injured after an SUV slammed into the back of a fuel tanker in Tyler on Wednesday morning, according to Tyler police.

The crash was reported at about 7:55 a.m. in the 3900 block of University Boulevard.

Police said the fuel truck was traveling southbound in the outside lane of the University Boulevard when it was rear-ended by a black SUV.

The occupant of the SUV was ejected from the vehicle upon the impact. Medical personnel responded to the scene and performed CPR on the victim. The current condition of the patient remained unknown.

The driver of the fuel truck did not suffer any injuries.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
