2 Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Old Anson Road in Abilene

Two Injured in Abilene Three-Vehicle Crash on Old Anson Road near West Overland Trail

Abilene, Texas (October 13, 2022) – Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Abilene, according to the police.

The crash happened around 12:00 p.m., October 12, near Old Anson Road and West Overland Trail.

Police said an 18-wheeler was traveling southbound on Old Anson towards Overland. A pickup truck was stopped at the stop sign, but it failed to yield the right-of-way as it went across and was struck by the 18-wheeler.

A car that was traveling northbound in the inside lane was also involved in the crash.

One of the vehicles was occupied by two on-duty patrol officers. One of the officers, who was the passenger, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of one of the other vehicles was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
