3 Firefighters Injured in Fire Truck Crash on Interstate 35 in Belton

Three Firefighters Hospitalized after Belton Fire Truck Crash on Interstate 35

Belton, Texas (October 30, 2019) – Three firefighters were injured Tuesday morning in a traffic collision in Belton, according to officials.

The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. October 29, on southbound Interstate 35 near the U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14 overpass.

Officials said an 18-wheeler was traveling at a speed of around 60 mph when it hit a fire truck, a tow truck and a vehicle it was towing. The vehicles were blocking off lanes for an earlier wreck.

Three firefighters were taken to Scott & White Medical Center with minor injuries where they were treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
