3 Injured in Pursuit Crash on Cardinal Loop and SH 72 in Austin

Three Injured in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Cardinal Loop and E SH 72

Austin, Texas (March 2, 2021) – According to police, three people were injured early Tuesday morning after a pursuit ended in a crash in Austin.

The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m., in the area of Cardinal Loop and E SH 72 Service Road WB.

Police said they ran the license plate of a truck that was driving erratically and they found that the truck was stolen. They then began a pursuit but they stopped due to safety reasons.

The truck then crashed into another vehicle at the intersection.

One person was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. Two other people were also taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
