58-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Three-Vehicle Crash on Almeda Road

Houston, Texas – A 58-year-old woman was killed on March 1 in a three-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:35 p.m., in the 11500 block of Almeda Road.

Police said a 33-year-old woman was driving a white Hyundai Tucson southbound when she failed to stay in a single lane, entered the northbound lanes, and struck a northbound white Infiniti QX56 driven by the 58-year-old woman.

The 58-year-old woman lost control, entered the southbound lanes, and, as the Infiniti spun around, it was struck on the driver’s side door by a southbound white Dodge 3500 pickup truck.

The Infiniti driver was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The Hyundai driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was determined not to be impaired.  The driver of the Dodge was not injured.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
