Caden Jimenez and Brianna Patterson Killed in Bowie County Three-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 259

Bowie County, Texas (April 28, 2021) – Two teenagers were killed Monday evening in a three-vehicle crash in Bowie County, according to troopers.

The fatal crash happened around 6:00 p.m., April 26, on U.S. 259, about 13 miles north of DeKalb, near the Texas-Oklahoma border.

Troopers said Caden Jimenez, 18, was driving southbound when they lost control, hit the side of a truck, crossed lanes, and was struck by another truck.

Jimenez and their passenger, Brianna Patterson, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
