Giovanni Panszaorosco ID’d as Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident at Saltillo Street and Sabinas Street
San Antonio, Texas (April 14, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a train Friday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Giovanni Panszaorosco, 23, according to authorities.
The deadly accident happened at the intersection of Saltillo Street and Sabinas Street Friday, April 12.
Authorities said Panszaorosco was walking on the train tracks when he was hit by a train.
Panszaorosco was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Pacific Union engineer told investigators he honked his horn to warn Panszaorosco, but he remained on the tracks for an unknown reason.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
