Jesse Madrid Killed in Head-On Crash on I-20 in Odessa

Jesse Madrid Killed in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash on I-20 near E. Loop 338

Odessa, Texas (July 8, 2020) – The person who was killed in a head-on collision early Saturday morning in Odessa has been identified as 30-year-old Jesse Madrid, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred around 1:20 a.m. June 4, in the 5900 block of Interstate 20 near E. Loop 338.

Police said a red Dodge Challenger was heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-20 when it collided head-on into a tractor-trailer.

The Challenger driver, Madrid, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
