Jose Alberto Garcia Killed in Harlingen Pedestrian Accident on Highway 100

Harlingen, Texas (June 6, 2020) – According to a local news source, a man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident Thursday night in Harlingen.

The deadly accident took place at about 10:20 p.m., June 4, on Highway 100.

According to the report, Sheriff Deputies had responded to Share 27 Road in regards to an ATV that was reportedly driving on the roadway. They located the abandoned ATV on the corner of Highway 100.

According to a preliminary investigation, 41-year-old Jose Alberto Garcia, of Los Fresnos, was crossing the street when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

Garcia was killed in the accident.

The driver that hit Garcia remained at the scene after the accident.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
