Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Westheimer Road in Houston

Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer Road and Hillcroft Avenue

Houston, Texas (August 7, 2022) – A male pedestrian died after he was struck Saturday night by a hit-and-run driver in west Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The deadly crash occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, at the intersection of Westheimer Road and Hillcroft Avenue.

Police said a black Chevy Impala hit the man in the area.

The man later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the Impala got out of the car after hitting the pedestrian but then got back in his car and fled the scene.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided. The crash remains under investigation.
