Man Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Eastex Freeway near Greens Road

Houston, Texas (August 5, 2021) – A man was killed early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly crash happened around 2:00 a.m. on the Eastex Freeway near Greens Road, not far from Beltway 8.

Police said the man was driving an SUV at a slow rate of speed when his car was struck by a pickup truck.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released. Children in his car were not seriously injured in the crash.

The man and woman in the pickup truck are believed to have been intoxicated.

The crash closed the inbound/southbound lanes of the freeway.
