Maranda Jetrudis Reichardt Killed in Smith County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 2767

Smith County, Texas (October 4, 2020) – A Kilgore woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Smith County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened at about 7:19 p.m., October 1, on FM 2767.

DPS said Maranda Jetrudis Reichardt, 23, was driving westbound on the highway when the vehicle went off the roadway to the right and hit a street sign.

The vehicle then went back onto the roadway and struck an eastbound Jeep before going into the other ditch.

Reichardt was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jeep driver, 18-year-old Casey Lynn McNaughton, of Kilgore, was uninjured in the crash.
