Randy Mullenax Injured in Head-On Crash on Hwy 63 in Jasper County

Randy Mullenax Injured in Jasper County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 63 near RR 255

Jasper County, Texas (February 25, 2022) – One person was injured Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash in northwest Jasper County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m., February 24, on Highway 63 West, just east of Recreational Road 255.

DPS said a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Randy Mullenax, 51, of Zavalla, was heading westbound on the highway when it crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Eric Simmons, 51, of Pineland.

Mullenax was taken to a Lufkin hospital for treatment. 

Simmons was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
